Studio Head

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded Design Head to lead our Mumbai Studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of interior projects, from lead qualification and pitch to design documentation and handover. They will oversee project finances and profitability for all turnkey projects while fostering a creative and collaborative team environment. The Design Head will be instrumental in driving innovation, maintaining discipline in project management, and upholding the integrity of our designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Mumbai Studio as if it were your own business, ensuring its growth and success.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of interior projects, from initial client engagement to project handover, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.
• Qualify leads, prepare compelling pitches, and participate in client presentations to win new projects.
• Develop creative design concepts that align with client objectives, architectural surroundings, and industry trends.
• Produce high-quality design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and presentations, utilizing software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• Manage project finances, budgets, and profitability for all turnkey projects, optimizing resources and minimizing costs without compromising quality.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and industry regulations, maintaining discipline in project management practices.
• Uphold the integrity and ethical standards of Alcove Designs, delivering qualitative and honest design solutions to clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in architectural or interior design, with a proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion.
• Strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to think strategically, identify business opportunities, and drive growth.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading and developing a small team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of other design software is a plus.
• Creative mindset with a passion for innovative design solutions that push the boundaries of traditional practices.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets, profitability, and resource allocation effectively.
